Job description

We are looking for a play buddy to actively spend afternoons with two children, a 5-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy, with the goal of improving their English and gradually introducing them to another language.

This is a combination of childcare (being a nanny) and language learning, rather than traditional tutoring. The idea is to have a “language buddy” who will help the children learn naturally through games, activities, playing sport, spending time together and everyday conversations in another language.

The position is 2 days per week from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, mainly on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Occasionally, a third day can be added upon agreement.

The main responsibility is picking the children up from school (can be by bus; car is not needed) and then spending the afternoon with them. The priority is for the children to have fun and naturally use English in everyday situations.

C1 English is needed (ideally native-like). Knowledge of a second language is also required, preferably French, Spanish, German or Portuguese.

The position is open to both female and male candidates. Previous experience working with children is required. We are looking for someone reliable, independent and professional.

The salary is 15–20€ per hour, depending on experience and agreement with the family.
